You might be wondering, how a funny event can be a good deed! Believe me; I too was astonished when I came to know about this venture. But it really occurred with the efforts of ‘Rima Pradhan’; Vice President Marketing who called the ‘Sparsh’ NGO kids to Viviana Mall; situated in Thane for Angry Birds life event. The motto of this mall is to ‘Celebrate Every Day’. She and her team also thought of celebrating a day with the kids who belong to an under privileged society. Red, Chuck and Bomb were invited to the mall for three respective days. She tied up with Sony Pictures having a hope of betterment with the purpose to devote some time in a good deed. To fulfill this motive, she gave NGO kids a chance to watch Angry Birds movie in a 4D screen along with Hindi dialogue writers of this movie. In fact, she offered many opportunities to the people who come to this mall on a regular basis by offering small gift vouchers so that nobody should feel discouraged. Everyone was given four attempts to play this game live and whosoever was succeeded in hitting the pigs in four attempts was rewarded with the coupons of McDonald’s, Mad Over Donuts and many more brands. To avoid the chaos, she filtered the stuff by passing a statement “Shop for two thousand and get a chance to play angry birds game” which is a very small amount to spend in a mall. As everyone knows, angry birds are popular among everybody the day they have come into picture. People loved and appreciated it as a game and they became more excited when they saw the trailer of its movie. That’s why management introduced the angry birds’ village and gave children a chance to meet the characters of this movie who were especially called to the mall. Children were sent in a group of twenty at a time which developed an anxiety in their parents more than them. Parents were happy to see their children meeting the stars and were busy in clicking pictures of their child to keep it as a memory. In spite of this, the angry birds characters distributed one thousand bird feeders among the audience to beat the heat and save birds. The whole event was full of thrill, fun, enthusiasm and a unique adventure happened in a happening city like Mumbai. It was a joyful experience for everyone present over there. In fact as a media person, I too enjoyed a lot and gained a wonderful experience with the birds. The smile on children’s face enhanced a different kind of affection in me. I wish a great success to the movie and to the people who made this venture live. This is how angry birds acted as a noble cause and an experience for everybody.
